Jill K. Torres, Ph.D.

Psychology

Jill K. Torres, Ph.D., QME,  has been performing QMEs, AMEs, Fitness for Duty and
Pre-surgical Psychological Clearance evaluations since 2011.  She has performed more
than 250 QME examinations. She has extensive knowledge and understanding of
psychopathology and psychopharmacology, DSM-V, psychometric testing, AMA and
ACOEM Guides. She worked extensively in the foster care system and prior to moving
to Southern California was the Clinical Director of a New York City Non-Public School.
Her doctoral dissertation studied Posttraumatic Stress (PTSD) symptoms among foster
children.

Dr. Torres provides high quality, persuasive, readily understandable and timely
independent psychological evaluations to be utilized in a forensic medical-legal setting.
She is skilled at assessing credibility and potential malingering. She is well versed and
available to provide expert testimony and for depositions.

Dr. Torres maintains a private practice where she provides individual cognitive-
behavioral psychotherapy that includes focus on chronic pain and depressive, anxiety
and adjustment disorders, PTSD and trauma.

Dr. Torres earned her B.A. degree Magna Cum Laude from the University of Michigan,
and her M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology with distinction from Hofstra University in
Long Island, New York.
