David H. Stern, M.D. is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Geriatrics. He received his medical degree from SUNY Medical Center, Brooklyn N.Y. in 1967 and served his Internship and Residency at Kings County Hospital, also in Brooklyn N.Y. Dr. Stern is a retired Clinical Instructor in Medicine at U.C.L.A. Department of Medicine. He has a private Geriatrics practice in Encino, California and also serves as Medical Director at both the Silverado Memory Care Assisted Living Facility and the ONEgeneration Adult Day Care Health Care Program.

Dr. Stern makes several presentations each year reviewing dementia disorder, healthy aging and the aging gut. Some of his specific presentations have covered topics such as “Dementia, Depression, and Substance Abuse in the Elderly, Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment, Diagnosis and Management of Geriatric Syndromes and Nursing Home-Acute Hospital Interface”. In 1972 he received the Rorer Award from the Gastroenterology Research, Southern California Society. Dr. Stern has also been a co-author for several publications dealing with Gastroenterological subjects.
