Internal Medicine

Dr. Joseph Marzouk is Board Certified for Internal Medicine with a sub-specialty in Infectious Disease.
He received his under graduate degree from Princeton University and his Medical Degree from Boston University, School of Medicine. He served his Residency at Wayne State University Affiliated Hospitals and was a Follow, Infectious Disease at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Marzouk is also recognized as a HIV Specialist by the American Academy of HIV Medicine.

He has held the positions as Chief, Division of Infectious Diseases, Director, Adult Immunology Clinic, Medical Director, Infection Prevention and Control and Chief, Infectious Disease Service. He is affiliated with Summit Medical Center in Oakland, California, Alameda Hospital and San Ramon Regional Medical Center and is an Expert Medical Reviewer for the Medical Board of California.

Dr. Marzouk has made numerous presentations and lectures to both medical and non-medical audiences on various Infectious Disease topics. The Antimicrobial Utilization Service under his directorship was honored by the American College of Physician Executives as an “Innovation and significant advance in medical management”.
