Melissa J. Durham, Pharm, D.
Advanced Practice Pharmacy
Melissa Jean Durham, Pharm.D, is an Advanced Practice Pharmacist, licensed by the California State Board of Pharmacy in 2018. She received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the USC School of Pharmacy in 2007.
Currently Dr. Durham is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at the USC School of Pharmacy; she specializes in Pain Management and Opioid Abuse, although she has specialized training in Travel Medicine, Immunization and Diabetes as well. Prior to her association with USC, she was a practicing pharmacist at the Brent-Air Pharmacy. She plays an active role in the California Pharmacists’ Association as well as the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy.
She has presented several lectures to professional associations regarding the opioid crisis such as, “The Role of Pharmacists in the Safe Prescribing of Opioids: Having the Tough Talks with Patients and Prescribers” and “Stuck in the Middle: Pharmacists and the Opioid Crisis”.
