Dr. Michael J. Blumenkrantz, M.D. is Diplomate American Board of Internal Medicine and Diplomate in the subspecialty of Nephrology. He is also a specialist in clinical nutrition. Dr. Blumenkrantz received his under graduate degree from Columbia College in New York, and his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York in 1968. He was a Fellow in Nephrology at the VA Wadsworth Medical Center/UCLA.

Dr. Blumenkrantz has medical licenture in California and Pennsylvania and has had a private and consultative practice in Nephrology, Internal Medicine and Nutrition since 1982. In addition, he has been Director, Home Peritoneal Dialysis Program at the VA Wadsworth Medical Center, Research Fellow, National Kidney Foundation of Southern California and Associate Professor of Medicine at the UCLA School of Medicine.

He has been called as an IME/Expert in 300 cases and has been deposed and or testified thirty times over the last four years. His specialty focus is Clinical Nutrition, Hemodialysis, Dialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, Critical Care, Geriatrics/Nursing Home, Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN). Dr. Blumenkrantz has authored or co-authored over 80 articles covering his areas of medical expertise and has been an invited speaker at thirteen international medical society gatherings.
