Dr. Pamela Hall has been a licensed psychologist since 2000 and a psychotherapist and psychodiagnostic examiner since 1983. Dr. Hall completed a Ph.D. in clinical psychology in 1996. She completed specialized postdoctoral training at St. John’s University, Queens, NY, Forensic Psychiatry, Foundational and Criminal Certificates in 2018-2019.

In over 40 years of practice, Dr. Hall has developed expertise evaluating and treating psychological injuries associated with Post traumatic stress disorder, chronic pain and pain psychology, and neurocognitive impairment. She has provided medical legal psychological evaluations for the purpose of disability determinations as a contractor with the Veteran’s Administration (2008-current) and as a Qualified Medical Examiner for the State of California Department of Worker’s Compensation (2014-2022). She has conducted psychological evaluations and has retained as an expert in litigated cases since 2014.

Dr. Hall has vast experience conducting forensic psychological evaluations with individuals affected by traumatic circumstances such as combat exposure, workplace injuries, sexual assault, criminal assault, and childhood trauma. Forensic examinations can now differentiate between PTSD symptoms related to specific, litigated traumatic stress events and baseline complex PTSD symptoms associated with a history of traumatic stress exposure prior to the matter under litigation. Differentiating between single event post trauma symptoms and baseline complex PTSD conditions is quickly becoming her specialty expertise.

Dr. Hall also has specialized training and experience evaluating and treating workplace stressors, such as relationship conflict in the workplace, stress management, and occupational impairment following psychiatric and/or physical injury. Dr. Hall has been a requested trainer for attorney groups and employee assistance programs.

Dr. Hall’s clinical acumen, expertise and emphasis on effective treatment as well as her enduring empathy for psychologically injured individuals are invaluable contributors to clarity and fairness in the medical-legal evaluation process. Her compassion for the effect of psychological and physical injury on an individual’s well-being provides the impetus and motivation for work assessing psychological injury in a trauma-informed manner.
